Gas Barrier and Containment Seals

Using a liquid seal dry is almost always synonymous with problems, whether it's equipment failure, unwanted downtime, or unsafe conditions.   

Flowserve gas barrier seals feature a non-contact system of sealing faces that lift off during operation, so they operate safely and reliably, no matter what happens in the sealing chamber. 

They also consume less energy and use simplified support systems. 

Flowserve containment seals normally operate dry as a backup solution behind a liquid lubricated inboard seal. 

During disruptive events, the containment seal takes over primary sealing responsibilities until the equipment can be safely maintained. 

Both models offer significant cost and environmental benefits, either by minimizing or eliminating emissions.
